Thought you would enjoy the pics fron the car show today. Lots of great trucks. Saw a nice 57 Chevy...I almost bought it...it was only $115,000.
Enjoy...

Next time, i think we all need to have phone numbers instead of the 'i hope to bump into people whom I have no clue what they look like' method.

Re: Good Guy pics...Columbus Ohio

i was trying to, but when i found out I couldn't get out of work till noon, I knew I wouldn't have the time to do everything. It woulda sucked though had I done it, the rain was a total PITA. Dry for 7 or 8 days, then BOOM... all afternoon storm.
I hope to be able to pull it off next year...

I agree N2TRUX...it would be sweet to have an unofficial truck gathering ...1968SWBBigBlock seems to know the ins and outs of Goodguys...might be worth contacting him if we were to try and set up a meeting at Goodguys. Lots of 67-72 Chevys and GMC trucks. I wonder how many were aware of this site. If I would have been thinking I could had drop off some info about our site. Then again...I didn't have rain gear with me. I agree with Andy we need cell ph numbers so we can contact each other. I had 1968SWBBigBlock cell so we were able to hook up. I had Andy's home # but not his cell. I didn't think Andy was going to show with the rotten weather but he did and by the time we connected I was east of Columbus. As far as meeting on Sunday...I could meet 1:30 or so. But if we meet we need to meet when it's best for the majority of the people. I know its a ways off till the next Goodguys but we can lay ground work now. Good ideas and thoughts. Lets keep this alive.

sorry we missed your ride, there was alot of cars/trucks we actually didnt get too..we were in the very back corner when it started to spit..so we worked our way up to the covered area with all the cars under it..then worked our way from building to building till we ended up in the swap meet area, that was basically the end of our car show...sorry for any rides we missed

Re: Good Guy pics...Columbus Ohio

I got there at 7:30am on Sat and watched the cars coming through the front gate for about a 1/2 hour or so...

Then heading to the back and tried to work my way forward...way too much to see in one day almost...

Got to the swap meet section when it started to rain - and then worked my way back to the front and then out the front gates when it stopped raining about 3:30pm or so...trying to stay in the covered areas - spent over an hour in the inside vendor area...killing time hoping the rain would stop.

I got some pix but they are still on the camera - did anybody see the 67 shop truck that had the patina all over it with the Intro twisted vistas - looked pretty sharp.

I agree with finding a place to meet next time...there were so many 67-72 trucks but none of the owners were around them except the original owner of the 'Dad's 71 truck' - he stood by that thing all weekend. Every time I walked by it he was still standing there...

I went back on Sunday morning and was there until 1pm or so - saw a ton of nice cars - drove the 2+ hours back in a caravan of 50's rodders from MI.

Then looked at my trucks wondering if they would ever look as good as the trucks at the show...

I did wonder if I would see any Blazers at the show...only the Flat Green Fesler built one was there - nice to see how rare these things are in these parts. In a car show of 6000+ cars - only one blazer and it was vendor built.

I spent Friday at the show. It was very hot but at least it was dry. It was my first time to attend and I do plan to return next year.

Do the same vehicles show up every year or does it seem to change from year to year? Don't know why i ask because i did not get to see all of them in one day.

C10addict - Your 64 was my favorite shop truck of the show!!! I absolutely love it. Saw it parked and later that day you drove right by me and stopped to talk to someone. I almost spoke to you but did not want to disturb your conversation. If I would have known you were on this board I would have waited longer to tell you that truck is awesome.

btw did u happen to see the black 70cst that was for sale..13k i think it was..very clean short bed with some intriguing options..307, auto, air, tach

Thanks for the compliments!!! I wish you would have stopped and said hello... Friday was a VERY busy day for me at the show... The shop had two cars in the street machine of the year battle, and 3 other cars there we were trying to clean up..

Re: Good Guy pics...Columbus Ohio

I saw so many trucks that I started to wonder if I had seen them before - it didn't help that trucks were not even close to where they were the day before - so it was like going to 2 different car shows.

Did you guys see the roller skate (VW) on Sunday? I talked to that guy for a few mins...interesting gent for sure.
