Question on complete bushing kit w/ cab swap
I am putting my 79 cab on a frame from an 87 I believe so if I order a complete poly bushing kit I will need the one from an 81-87 right? Is the cab mount bushings the only difference between the kits? Or am I better off getting the seperate bushings and not the whole kit. I just don't want to be stuck with parts I can't use if I get the complete kit.
Thanks Jarrid

Re: Question on complete bushing kit w/ cab swap
if youre using an 87 frame (81-87) you need the bushings for the newer frame

Re: Question on complete bushing kit w/ cab swap
Yeah I know thats the cab mount bushings I need (older sytle) but is there any other difference between the two poly bushing kits (73-80 vs. 81-87)? I think all the other bushings are the same but I just dont want any surprises when it comes to assembly time.
Thanks Jarrid

Re: Question on complete bushing kit w/ cab swap
the bushings you need are for the cab and the front support for the 81-87 frame

Re: Question on complete bushing kit w/ cab swap
I guess I am not wording my question right. When I was doing a search I found that the bushings are different for the cab, something about them being off a little but what I am mainly asking is are the other suspension bushings the same between the 73-80 and the 81-87? Also I am using the complete body off of the 79 just putting it on the newer style frame to go the shortbed route since my longbed frame got bent in a collision. Which rad. support bushings would be correct for my situation?
Thanks Jarrid

Re: Question on complete bushing kit w/ cab swap
reading your LMC book or the website that you are ordering from you would notice that the partnumbers for the suspension ushings are THE SAME....
sooo one would conclude that they are the same part because you cannot shapre partnumbers with multiple parts........

Re: Question on complete bushing kit w/ cab swap
Man what is with some people on this site. I am just asking a question so there is no reason to get rude or smart I just need simple answers. I am like all you guys just trying to build a truck in my spare time. Sorry but I don't have a lot right now with 2 kids and 1 more on the way. I dont think its to much to ask for answers without all the extra grief thats implied. I definitely try to search for them first. I have been around this site a long time. Sure I dont have a lot of posts but I am not a total newbie. Thanks guys I do think I have my answer.
Thanks Jarrid

Re: Question on complete bushing kit w/ cab swap
Its cool it just seemed like noone read my second question about the cab bushings being the only thing that made the 2 complete bushing kits different. I knew I needed the the cab bushings for the year of the frame I use. Its all good now. Now I just need to figure out if I should go with the PST or Energy bushing kits?
