Noobie from GA
Hey everyone, first off names Joey. Ive had a lot of little projects pretty much since I turned 15 my dad first started helping me out and now almost 20 I do them by myself. Right now I've got a 03 Mach 1 mostly bolt on's, cams Im planning to build a motor for it and maybe do some twin turbo or maybe a supercharger, but thats prob. 2 yrs from now. Also I've got a 92 Bronco lifted, built, motor, etc. Im trying to sell it now so I can start another project. Which im looking for an 81-87 Silverado reg cab shortbed.
I'm hopin to learn alot from this forum and others and I appreciate any help. One question I do have is what are these trucks going for, that have a good body not rusted to hell. And is there any good places I can look besides craigslist and local. Thanks! |

Re: Noobie from GA
Thanks guys. Yeah I usually join the site "pay" once I get the vehicle hah, always nice to support a supporter! But this is my boss's truck and he mentioned selling it a few times and it is in GREAT shape, white but there is no rust what so ever, its an 86 short bed, no tears in the interior, except the temp guage in broke. And i wanted to talk with him tommorow but I would like to have some background info. on a average price and a GREAT price you know? The truck is completely stock with a 305 auto.
Thanks everyone cant wait to get one, ive wanted one for a while since my grandpa had a 80s k5 blazer and I want the pickup version! Except 2wd hah. Last edited by Mudd92; 07-13-2009 at 08:59 PM. |

Re: Noobie from GA
Check the category 13 listings to compare. LINK Prices can vary drastically with factory options such as four wheel drive, air conditioning, trim package, etc.

Re: Noobie from GA
Thanks babyjay. Im lookin at them now tryin to find a similar one. Its bone stock like a said, it has a/c that works, power steering and brakes but the interior is all manual, windows, locks, etc. And its in really good shape.
EDIT: He just pulled in here and its actully a chevy scotssdale. Ok guys im really sorry Im making this like a repair thread or something but, it is an 86 and its TBI. How hard is it to swap to a carb? Thanks! Last edited by Mudd92; 07-14-2009 at 07:25 AM. |
