Windshield Antenna Adapter - What's it called? - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Hey Guys,

We're installing the wiring, etc and noticed the new windshield I had installed has a snap at the bottom, where a wire for the antenna would snap, then plugin to the antenna mount on metal dash in the cab.

Can't figure out what that doo-ma-hickey, dilly bopper, thing-a-ma-job is called!

Need to locate one and not sure what it's called to look it up.

Brutha, can't help with the name of the doo-ma-hickey, dilly bopper, thing-a-ma-job, but I can tell you there is more than one part to it. If I remember correctly, the first piece with the "snap" is only about an inche long, or so. The one on my 80 (long gone) "plugged" into kind of a socket where the center of the top of the dash pad meets the windshield. Hopefully someone else can chime in and add info.

its called a windshield antenna wire and ive looked all over creation for one and bought one used from a guy on here... there areseveral guys parting trucks who may be able to help as it is not available new as far as i can find in an auto parts store... ive checked pep boys advanced, strauss, auto zone , and several mom and pops

Lmc truck catalog, Page 164 mid page items 7 Cable-Lead in & 8 Cable- Lead in to windshield Priced @ $9.95 each.
Just sold my old one to a guy on here.
