Re: steel wheels 6 lug X 8" X 16.5"

They were the flotation tire option on 4wds and aftermarket.Back then only 16.5s were available as wide truck tires. This was when only Michelin made radials and truck tires were multi-ply...8 or more.
The inner "clip" type hubcaps were used from`68-back on trucks and somewhere around`50-back on cars.

Anybody know whee I can find some of these clip type dog dish caps? The inner measurement is around 8 or so inches. Sorry to hijack.

do you still have the wheels? also, do you know if the bolt pattern will work for an 84 K5? I like the retro look on newer stuff... would you take $150? i would love to talk more about it.

Re: steel wheels 6 lug X 8" X 16.5"

FYI from an outsider, yes these will fit. They`d look great on your`85,if they`re available.I`m like you,I bought a`90 Blazer new because it was basically the same since`73 in a world of contoured and curvey stuff I had no desire for.I went out and bought,at a great discount,a set of discontinued finned aluminum rims to set that retro look off.
Why not send him a PM so it`s the first thing he sees whenever he comes on here. This is old so he won`t be checking for replies.

Re: steel wheels 6 lug X 8" X 16.5"

Thanks for the info! I just joined on here, i am a recovering Jeep owner and am really enjoying the Chevy side of life. It can be a pain having to ramble through so much to find parts, but its also fun too, "thrill of the hunt" i guess. do you know any sites with good aftermarket parts (bumpers, tire mount kind, etc.) I am wanting to upgrade a little, but not get too far from the stock look.

Re: steel wheels 6 lug X 8" X 16.5"

I would take them if you would ship. Even if you'd take em to the local tire store and have tires dismounted and have them box them and whatever they charged plus shipping i'd pay. LMK. Thanks!!

as a reference on how these rims look mounted and painted, here's my brother's k5 thread. WOW, they do look great mounted on a pickup, k5, or burb!
