Project 1971 shortbed
Purchased this truck almost 4 1/2 yrs ago for $3500. Did a complete frame off custom restoration. The rolling chassis is complete with ART suspension and Baer 4 wheel disc brakes. All of the bodywork is done on the sheetmetal. I have the cab completely painted inside and out and the bed too. Will post pics once I have the cab and bed mounted on chassis. I have changed the front sheetmetal to a 1967, I like the slant nose hood.

Re: Project 1971 shortbed
The engine is a de-stroked 400 small block, making it a 377. Complete roller assy with thumper cam and patriot aluminum heads with a steel crank and rods. Making approx 450hp.

Re: Project 1971 shortbed
Do you have any close ups of the rear disk brake set up? Which set are you running up front and rear?

Re: Project 1971 shortbed
If the rest of the truck turns out as nice as the chassis it'll be freakin' sweet for sure. Nice work so far. Cant wait for more pics.

Re: Project 1971 shortbed
Thanks for the nice compliments so far. It has taken a ton of time and money to get this far. Most people don't realize what it takes to make a truck clean and simple. It took over 3yrs alone do get all of the bodywork done.

Re: Project 1971 shortbed
Finally got the cab on the chassis today. Soon I will have the bed on there too. Still need to paint the doors and the front clip. Just been too hot to work lately. Finally starting to look like a truck, I've waited a long time for this.

Re: Project 1971 shortbed
Well it's been awhile and have made very little progress. Had problems with brake lines and electric valves and tanks. Well anyways, here's a few updated photos of the truck. Hope to have the bed bolted on next week.
