Flip kit. Am I doing it wrong?
Had a little mishap over the weekend.
I was doing about 80km/h on a gravel road. A bad section snuck up on me and the back end jumped out suddenly. I fish tailed a couple times before getting into the ditch. I was sliding to the left in the ditch and I thought I'd be okay but the front passenger side tire came off it's bead and the wheel dug into the dirt. The truck flipped onto it's roof and rolled onto the driver's side. I had my seatbelt on so all I got was a couple of torn tendons in my back.

Re: Flip kit. Am I doing it wrong?
Yeah, I'd say that's not the type of flip kit that seems to be most popular. Your pics aren't showing up right now for some reason, but glat to hear you're o.k. for the most part. Hope the truck is repairable.

Re: Flip kit. Am I doing it wrong?
I'm pretty sure the insurance company is going to write it off so I'll probably have to buy it back. The frame is still straight and the bed was in reasonable shape too. I might rebuild the cab from my (rusty) longbox and put it on this frame. Unfortunately it's going to take at least another week before get the insurance company's decision.
The accident didn't affect me too much but it's sure a kick in the ass to wreck the truck I had a bunch of plans for.

Oh dude...that sucks. Glad everyone is okay though! Just be glad it wasn't in the winter time that this happened....talk about freezing bad weather in Canada.
I traveled through to Regina, Saskatchewan last December (to get a model a) and prayed for no trouble. Sorry to hear about the truck. Good luck fixing it up! |

Re: Flip kit. Am I doing it wrong?
That sucks, but I'm with babyJay. That will buff out, just use one of those hammer brand buffers .
