Exhaust manifold question

Anyone:

Did 71 Cheyenne's come with the 300hp ramshead style cast exhaust manifolds? Also did the 71's have an airpump?

Has anyone successfuly got these manifolds to work with the stock air cleaner so the hot air intake works? I don't see where the flex hose can connect to anything on these exhaust manifolds.

any thoughts?

There is a two-piece heat collector that fits around the driver's side ramhorn. From there the stovepipe fits on w/ a few screws and then runs into your Thermac on the air cleaner. I used to have one of those K&N air cleaners, on cold days the truck wouldn't warm up worth beans. I finally made a straight trade for the stock air cleaner and heat riser setup. It solved my problem very nicely. Heres a pic of what you are looking for...oh, just noticed, forget the red arrow in the pic, lol, used it in another post about overflow bottles. thats from an 82 Camaro, btw.

You can check the boneyards, but those kinds of pieces tend to go first, who knows, ya might get lucky! Otherwise, some of our board members might have spare parts laying around after installing different systems. I'm still looking for the manifold tins, too, I want one for each side, should fit since manifolds appear to be symmetrical. If you just want to get the air cleaner intake flaps to function, for now you could just get some aluminum heat duct from Autozone. I have mine clamped on to the air cleaner with hose clamps and the other end just resting between the rocker cover and the exhaust manifold. Works perfect, takes about five minutes for the aircleaner to start inhaling cool air. Can't help you with your other question, I have left manifold with A.I.R. holes (plugged), right manifold without.
