1958 235 - Last change for parts

It's ready to be loaded for a trip to the scrap yard. Long block with pan and valve cover, water pump, distributor. Manifolds are gone. Also have 12V generator and carb. Email reddogeb@yahoo.com and tell me what you need.

Orrie,
Where are you located in idaho? I am in Lagrande Or and interested in your 235, is it a motor worth rebuilding?

Re: 1958 235 - Last change for parts

Just found this. You would have to look at it. It has been siting outside covered but with the intake off and valve cover loose. When I pulled it the cam had dropped a lobe and oil pressure had went away once (I turned it off when I saw it drop; restarted and it dropped again so I shut it off assuming the oil pump had died). I think it still turns over. I drained the water when I pulled is so there are no obvious cracks.

If you want it you can have it, I don't even want scrap value since you will have gas expense to get here. Plus I'd like to meet you! I would like to get rid of it soon, I move it to load into the trailer and it is really getting to be a sore point with my wife, I was supposed to have taken it for scrap a month ago!

208-573-1415 is my number. I will take a breaker bar out tonight and see if it budges. Patrick
