What's up with this hood???

I saw this on CL and am wondering what kind of hood that is. I have a 66 GMC and it doesn't match that.

I'm an idiot, what can I say? Sure enough, it is the same, just blue. For some reason it really seemed like it looked different to me. I just took it off today too.

...happens to all of us at times!
the thing I like on the later GMC hood is to paint the divider, and inside the scoop flat, or satin black, that way from a distance it looks like one big scoop.

I do like that hood style. But those turn signal lenses drive me nuts. They just don't look right to me. And I like that Idea of painting the divider black. Looks cool. I wonder how had it would be to make it a functional ram air induction? Aluminum boxed tubing to breather? Hmmmm? I'm gonna think on this one for a while.

He must have a hell of an engine in that Craigslist truck if he wants 6k turn key or 3k without engine.

Re: What's up with this hood???

There's some guy on the Houston CL that wants $2000 for a motor. Doesn't specify any reason for the price, but it does have 20K miles on it. I guess he saw the $3000 race motors for sale on the list and figured he'd split the difference. Another guy wants $250 for a block that "has a hole in the side, I think it threw a rod". Takes all kinds.....
