Re: burban clips and 15x10 rallies anyone??

I am kind of there as well. I want use 15x10 Rally's w M/T stickies + a tread width of 10", sidewalls are somewhat wider but not much. I just need to know what offset to buy.
A 10" tread width tire calls for a 8" to 10" rim. I know guys who slap on 275-60-15's on 15x7's ,but it NOT recommended and sidewall damage will result after a short time.

I would say go for the burban grill. Especially if you already have one. If you don't let me know I'm going to start looking for one for my truck.

On my old truck I had 275/60's on my 15x10's

do the 88-98 one piece rectangle headlights directly replace the 2 top lights on the 91 suburban?

they will with some modification. I think the aftermarket replacements with the retrofit to newer style bulbs look better. gives you the better lighting with the stock look

I have seen or heard of the suburban grille swap several times now lately. Might seem like a dumb question. But why? Won't a PU grille work as well?

if it's out of the one ton yes. but the burbans were made into the 90's. the reg square bodies half ton trucks were only produced until 87. after that the newer body style took over in light duty pickups in 88. totally different front end

if you want to go with big and littles stock 15X8 front with 235/60r15 and 15X10 rear with 5" bs and 295/50r15. the front track width on the 73-87 c-10 is roughly 4" wider than the rear. so the look will be perfect.

oh yeah, heres a pic of my 85 with the burban clip.

it really depend on what size rim you go with. and also the diameter of tire as well. most people say go with a 245/60 on the front because its the same diameter as a 295/50. but heres where it gets tricky. although it is the same diameter it will look taller when installed. the 235/60 is roughly 3/4" shorter than the 295/50, but when installed looks to be the same diameter. its an optical illusion. your just tricking the eye. but overall it looks more symetrical. you could probably go with a 60 series on the rear but it will be hard to find a 60 that fits a 10" wide wheel and still good. just my personal opinion though.

Re: burban clips and 15x10 rallies anyone??

I know it's not a 73-87 body style, but it is 15x7 in the front with a 235/60 and the rear is a 295/50 on a 8.5in wheel.
