New from Virginia
Hello everyone and greetings from Richmond, VA. I've been lurking a while and learning a lot primarily because I've been waiting to receive my '73 2wd Jimmy I purchased last September. It was having a built 514 Cadillac engine installed. Well, it finally arrived but the engine work was never completed so I guess its up to me now. Here's a few pics but I'll be posting the project in the builds section. Yep, the engine was just wedged in there when I got it.
I look forward to learning a lot more on here and sharing as much as I can along the way. Eric |

Re: New from Virginia
Hey welcome to the greatest board around from MT! So what exactly is the story behind the Jimmy and the motor just sitting in it?

Well, my engine guy ran into money troubles and had to take a job overseas in Dec 08. He'd made no progress other than to sell the 400 that was in it. He tried to get his friends to finish it but it went nowhere. He just returned stateside for some vacation in June 09 and managed to get the truck to a rolling state (barely) and I had another friend with a trailer get it and haul it up here. So now I've got it and its all up to me, which feels good. Eric |
