Re: The Unthinkable...

I hope you`re not having to do what you seem to be hinting to need to do.If so,this whole flopped economy sure has my feathers ruffled enough already. This makes me madder. It`s like the public was exploited and now we are paying for it.I wrote a letter begging my mortgage company for a restructure. It`s ironic because I`m in this position because of the irresponsible way money was lent causing housing,my bread & butter,to dry up.I didn`t go out and buy a house I couldn`t afford.I bought a shack in`86,renovated and improved it,all with money out of my pocket.Never borrowed a dime.Just did it as I could afford it.

Re: The Unthinkable...

no no no.....sell the cow in the left of the pic....not the truck!

My friend....I'm going to make an attemp to help you here. IT'S A FREAKING TRUCK!!!!! It's not a 69 RS/SS Convert Camaro. What I mean is that a lot of us are on this board because of how cheap it was to pick up our projects in the first place. If it has to go, it has to go. It's a beautiful truck and you can either buy or build another one down the road just like you did this one. Family is all that matters and we can't get metal in the way of their well being. I know people that can't even put food on the table because they gotta have that damn boat to take to the lake on the weekends. As the head of your house, you have to provide first and foremost. Don't be too hard on yourself and make yourself sick over this. It's just a truck and there are a lot of them out there....even though this one is gorgeous.

P.S. I still say sell the cow first!!!!

Re: The Unthinkable...

Hang in there. I sold a chevelle once to pay some bills, got a fraction of its value. The car made some rounds and came up for sale semi local after about 5 years it was priced about 5 times what I sold it for AND had a watered down motor. Jim

I have said it before, and i will say it again.

ITS JUST A TRUCK. There will always be more vehicles to buy. The supply won't run out in our lifetimes.

Re: The Unthinkable...

Beautiful truck and one a guy would hate to have to send down the road but it always seems that there are things on all of our trucks that we would do different next time and there is always that opportunity down the road
I had to sell my 51 Merc that I had had for 32 years a few years ago and the car lucked out, it found a new owner/keeper who lavished stacks of hundred dollar bills on it and is one of the nicer Mercs around now.
Good luck with what ever you do.

We all have our trials and tribulations in life, so don’t feel alone. Keep your faith and integrity. That will get you through a hell of a lot more than a truck.

Huh?First of all,It`s just a truck just like a`69 RS/SS Convert Camaro is just a car.Either way the family comes first, right?I,for one, drive trucks because I want them more than a car.Nothing to do with cheap. And a cherry well optioned SWB 4wd and cheap don`t belong in the same sentence. There`s nothing cheap about that truck. That`s for sure. They are hard to find. There were very few built. In the truck world this truck is like a rare Camaro.

Umm, I would sell a Camaro before that truck, I would sell that truck before my family would go without though...It's just a truck. Hope things get better, and remember you are judged by what you give in life, not what you have.

Those Cows do look tasty though!!! I love cow.

Re: The Unthinkable...

A mans gotta do what a mans gotta do (John Wayne)....

My dad sold his first car, a '38 Ford, to buy shoes for 3 kids (thanks dad). I sold my truck to buy Christmas for my two girls after my first wife walked out. This ain't no pity party. Life is real and while there are things that matter to us, when it comes down to the nut-cutting, you'll make the right decision for your family. Whatever it is, just know that you are not alone. We're pullin' for you.
