shifter nightmare
Well.. attempted to tackle the sloppy shift linkage and hang ups... didnt work well...
So what are people doing to fix or replace the colum shifter? id like a floor but dont know what to do... its a 350 turbo. Im not looking to spend much at all so no lokar idea. |

I had a B&M star shifter i sold on here not long ago that i bought for 125 new on ebay. I decided i wanted stock linkage

i was told to look at a sparkomatic but couldnt seem to find anything on it...
My colum linkage is missing peices and peices are added from god knows what they came from but there not what belong... |

I have an old B&M Starshifter that I just pulled from my 67 Camaro. It is in working shape but the cable got burned a little on my exhaust pipes. Comes with a new console, new boot, new indicator plate and new brackets/hardware for any trans. Also, have the box and all instructions. It's a very easy install. This is probably the best and easiest way to get the shifter on the floor for cheap.

Guys before you get in trouble you need to be a paid subscriber to post WTB or sell stuff on here. Its only 25 dollars a year and well worth it.

If you want to stay with a column shifter you may want to check out the cpp's ebay store. You could kill two birds with one stone and replace the whole steering column. It's probably more than you want to spend but if you think you'll be in the market for a steering column in the future, it might be worth it.
I got one similar to this one: (but mine was all stainless and was $300): http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/33-IN...#ht_1845wt_880 You'll also need a u-joint as well (around $50 on ebay if you search) A sloppy shifter was the whole reason I got mine since I don't like the idea of a floor shifter.

I wish i could figure out a way to make one but not like a B and M or something... Like how some bike have suicide shifters just maaking something radical like that. |
