Question on pressure

I had my truck up on the lift and the bags up front inflated fine. However, when I got it down off the lift (Tank pressure around 80-90 psig) they would only lift about 1/2 way. When I increased my tank pressure (125-150 psig) the bags lifted fine. Is this too high for a tank pressure, and if so, what is wrong?

There are no leaky fittings/valves and everything looks to be operating properly.

Tank pressure should normally be 125psi minimum or more (depending on what pressure switch you choose).

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Re: Question on pressure

That sounds about right. With only 80-90lbs of supply pressure it would take forever to equalize the tank and get the front up.

Re: Question on pressure

the size of your bags is also a factor. smaller bag = more pressure, the opposite with bigger bag

Re: Question on pressure

OK. That's kind of what I figured. I just wanted to make sure something wasn't jacked up with my system.

Re: Question on pressure

What size air tank, or tanks do you have? More air storage will help.
