molding removal

hey guys i wanna take off the molding under the rear window off. Its in super good condition and i dont want to ruin it. how do i take it off without bending it?

It's been a long time since I've done it, so relying on memory from years ago, I believe you have to take the nuts off of the corner moldings from inside the cab, remove the corner moldings and then the panel just slides out horizontally. If that's not correct, the folks on here will clear it up.

doesnt it have plastic springs on it that you push it down and pop off the bottom or something like that? after you remove the sides like stated above?

Where these dang nuts at? lol I cant find them. Do i need to take the factory lil speaker set up in the corner and stick my hand up their?

I just took mine off, it had these little plastic retainers holding it on, but i saw no way of taking them off or squeezing them so it would pop off. I took a screwdriver and carefully popped the molding of the plastic things, once i got a few popped off, i slid the corner back and the side piece came off, then the rest of it slid off horizontally. The one i had was just two pieces, held together in the middle. Mine came off without any damage to it.

That should be where they are. Loosen the trim and see if you can reach up there.
