steps/Nerf bar for lifted 69-72 Blazer - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I'm looking for information reguarding origional steps that mounted under the cab supports. steps/Nerf bar for lifted 69-72 Blazer as it would appear .
I ran into an accessory add from the period with a display of these steps but cant find any other documentation .Just hoping someone here knows what I'm refering to in hopes of getting more info .Be it step for lift kit or just steps for handicap entry to truck . If you look at the diagram it displays a picture of the first gen blazer. I need more info to this effect .Was it intended for use with lifted blazer or just a handicap tool .My insurance company will dispute this info and I want to have evrything I can to support a lift for collector plates otherwise I'm forced to remove lift for collector plates .Thanks

You've got a torsion box there to contend with, unlike the trucks remember.

Pulled em off one of the trucks I've bought over the years, seemed to fit pretty decent.

REALLY? You cant get collector plates with a lifted blaze? Wow those guys are sticklers for sure. Do you need to have it inspected in person or do you show them pictures?

I know its skirting the law but could you put a stock lift on it for the plates and change it out later? I know in the states once you have the plates and pay the first fee you are good to go. I think the restrictions are for club/show use only though.

On a side note has anyone ever been hassled 'breaking the law' with these plates by driving to the grocery store or something?

In lue of the new pic, sure those would bolt directly to your torsion box as long as they're in great shape and your willing to drill into them, you should be all set.

Good looking step as long as you never plan on going off road with it.

First of all I don't own the step in the picture .I dug this picture up off the Internet and glad I did cause it's the only picture I have found that possibly supports factory lift kit.That's where forums like this are instumental in getting information that collaborates our sugestions. So the flud gates are now open for the most convincing postings in support of lift kit or otherwise.
