Rear Axle Under Trailing Arms

I was thinking of moving my rearead under the trailing arms to give me some added lift. Has anyone done this? I am most concerned about the perches welded to the bottoms of the axle tubes. I don't want to have to remove the old perches and then re-weld them to the top of the axle tubes for fear of warping the axle tubes. Any thoughts?

Re: Rear Axle Under Trailing Arms

I figure I can mock it all up and then rotate the front of the axle up a little prior to final welding to correct pinion angle. Of course, I would also measure for correct angle prior to final welding.

Don't forget to relocate the shocks. How are you going to get the front end up?
