Re: Fan shroud

Get a 2wd bb shroud. Sometimes used ones come up or you can buy a new one.

If you mean front to back (from radiator to firewall) yes, WAY shorter.

Scott (Turp Mcspray) is right on on that deal, 4x4 shroud is 9" deep and a 2wd shroud is about 5 1/4" deep.

Out of curiosity I measured my 2wd big block shroud and it is 4 3/8" deep.
On my truck I moved the engine forward 2" from the small block location and with a factory water pump, pulley, and clutch fan set up (borrowed from my buddys 2wd big block truck for mock up), the fan set perfectly in my shroud.

Sorry, Scott I mistakenly gave a measurement of a small block 2wd shroud, before I realized you specified BB.

No problem, I just figured the more measurements to use for reference the better!
