Mike...........Rear anti-sway bar question. - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

My truck is lowered 5/7" and I will be installing a Hellwig anti-sway bar soon. I have the correct application for my truck, but the directions suck. It came with four brackets (They are pictured---Looks like they bolt to the inner frame rail and then connect to the endlinks). I was wondering what angle the bar should be at in relation to the frame mainly. Any suggestions and photos would be greatly appreciated. BTW, I know I have to flip it.

Mikes picture of his front sway bar helped me out so much. Thanks again Mike for posting that picture, you posted it for someone else but it was the same time I was doing mine and helped out a ton. I couldnt figure out which way it went (I had it upside down at first).

I would also like t see a picture of the rear bar. I hope to get a chance this weekend to go to some junk yards and get some stuff.

Sorry, but my front bar is the stock one. I have a Helwig rear bar, but this won't have anything to do with your front one.

Would there be any complications in using a rear bar on a flipped axle and airlift bags?

Mike's anti-sway bar has different brackets than mine, but that does help. Thanks Mitch.

I'll be installing it soon, so I will keep you guys updated.

I wouldn't think so, since the AirLift bags generally are mounted behind the axle outboard of the frame rail. If you C-notch the frame using a Belltech or Western Chassis notch---They have a kit that bolts directly to the rear bolt pattern of the notch. Just in case you didn't know that.
