GM Vintage Vehicles Report
I finally got around to ordering a report from GM Vintage, and it was a little shocking. The report says that (210) trucks of my model were produced in 1970. The model is KE15934. Does that mean only 210- 1/2ton 4x4 widesides were made in 1970? or is specific to the trim level in that number.
I always thought my truck was a little rare, but only 210 made!! Some insight would be helpful. Some more info, it is a Canadian built GMC still in Canada. Thanks, Gator

You lucky Canadians! In the U.S. G.M. didn't save any of that stuff other than Pontiac. My friend has a Firebird, I always tell him it's a Canadian Camaro.LOL!(he HATES camaros)

Re: GM Vintage Vehicles Report
My take is that your body, a KE15934, is what the production shows total to be.

Re: GM Vintage Vehicles Report
So a 1/2 ton GMC 4x4 long bed???
Surely the Canadian market was fairly decent for four wheel drives??? Maybe its a typo and should have said something diff? I,m guessing with all the farms in Alberta alone there should bee more than that. |

Re: GM Vintage Vehicles Report
Mike,
I ordered it from GM Vintage services, It cost me $57 (i think). When you call them, they fax you the form to put all your info on. I had the package in about 4 days by mail. They didnt have the brochure detail for GMC but included the 1970 stuff for Chevy trucks. Here is the link to the web page: http://www.gm.ca/gm/english/shopping/parts/vintage Gaylon

That would be another source of revenue from GM if they found a way to provide that to US collectors. It is there for Chevelles, Corvettes and Camaros...how about the trucks guys?

Re: GM Vintage Vehicles Report
i suspect they do it by model number, which would include 4X4, v8, fleet side, and LWB.
The number does seem low, but there were many more chevys made than GMC trucks, and also, there is the number of american built trucks imported into canadia that is not included in that number. |

Re: GM Vintage Vehicles Report
Andy, Where did you get the Longhorn production numbers?
FOUND IT! John Fabris posted the summary from the Chevrolet Light-Duty Truck Series. BTW...Whenever anyone asks what is the rarest of the rare of this truck series...1968 3/4 ton 4x4 panel...only 8 made!!!!!! I WANT ONE!!!! I wonder if it was a 50th Anniversary truck...LOL!

Re: GM Vintage Vehicles Report
i have that book, and others. thats where I get most of my info unless I have factory documents that say otherwise. This book is the most acurate I have found. the red book is worthless in comparison. I had one and sold it.

Re: GM Vintage Vehicles Report
My 69 GMC was an OSHAWA built truck. Would they have the info? Or was that trucks sold in Canada? Mine was sold here if I am correct.
