Keyless entry question
On my 05 GMC, the fob unlocks only the drivers door on the first push....takes three to get the passenger door open. Is there a way I can reprogram that or does the dealer have to do it? I want both doors to unlock on the first push.

Re: Keyless entry question
I don't know Kelly. Mine takes two pushes to open the pass door. Same with my wife's truck. A call to a dealer can tell ya if they can program it to open both with one push.
That's a good lookin truck. Must be from Arkansas.

Re: Keyless entry question
Does your truck have the steering wheel controls? If so you should be able to do this without going to the dealer. Also $40 is kinda high for a service they didn't use to charge for. They fixed it on my Mom's Buick (the other way around) for free and also did this for my mother in law on her S10 Blazer which had a dealer installed GM alarm system when she bought it used.

Re: Keyless entry question
I know on my old Grand Prix in the owner's manual it gave ways to personalize the programming for the key fob, and a few other things. I haven't looked in my trucks manual to see if it does. I changed the one on the Grand Prix in like 5 minutes. Very easy.

Re: Keyless entry question
I was told at the dealer it is not possible to reprogram the remote's functions. Still have to press it twice to get into the passenger door. You can change the locks when you put the truck in gear and park, etc, but that's about it. I read the manual from cover to cover with no mention of changing the FOB functions.
