Re: Thought somebody here might be interested..

I normally hate chop tops but this one is so simple that I actually like it alot....If I was in the market for a finished truck this one would be one that I would be interested in...even at 38k is a good deal knowing what I know...

Doesn't look chopped to me.....if so, very little. The cab looks stretched quite a bit.....little too much for me. Nice truck though.

Re: Thought somebody here might be interested..

WOW! for a chop i like it. i wonder though where it is grafted cab to box when the frame flexes going into and out of driveways would it want to flex and crack? i would never pay that much for a truck or spend that much time and fab on one but it sure is nice to look at. would like to get under it to see exactly how it all was done. superb craftsmanship!!

It is a stock 71 - 72 grill painted black with the horizontal bars painted silver or something it looks like. You can see were the bowtie goes.

Re: Thought somebody here might be interested..

A few year8s ago, there was a '69 that was from the DFW area. The cab on it was stretched 6 inches. The rest of the truck looked stock exceput for the lowered stance. This truck was silver and a GM engineer from the '67 era remarked that it looked like a prototype. This truck also had the dash extended the same 6 inches and it was really slick looking ride. Comparing that memory to this black truck says the silver one looked right. It didn't have the unibody appearance that the black one does. Lil' John Buttera (deceased) did a blazer with a cab on it that took several years and several builders to complete. I don't have a pix of it, but someone will. It seems that it was black/silver.
