Keeping steelies w/6 lug disks?
How it going fellas? love the forum guys... it is a huge source of info.
I own a 65 C-10 fleetside shortbed that im working on slowly. I just rebuild the rear drum brakes, so now on to the front. What would be the best option for me to keep my steel wheels and still have disks up front? Better yet, do i even need disks (drop spindles) in order to slam the truck up front as I have planned? Thanks again |

You can get the same effect as drop spindles with dropped LCA's and keep your drums. I prefer discs and spindles.

 from AZ. You can get around 3'' with control arms or just coils. The control arms may give you scrub line issues if your wheels are only 15'' and the design of the arms.Will the 6-lug disc rotors not fit your wheels???

Dropped LCA's are usually made by individuals or local fab shops. They can be made for any drop but usually not more than 2.5" It is done by simply stepping the ball joint mount up x" There are pics floating around here somewhere.
