A buddy and I were talkin, he was wondering if a 69 long bed will bolt on to an 84 long bed frame without much modification...

He thinks yes, I wasnt sure but i said I can find out....so who's got the knowledge?

Depends on what 'much' means: radiator core support mounts, cab mounts, & frame rail mods for the front bumpers. What's the logic behind the swap (different needs require different suggestions)?

He has a 69 pickup, he wants to put a power steering, power disc setup into, he found a steal on an 84 GMC, thought it may be an inexpensive way to get it done since he has the 69 in pieces already

maybe easier to move the parts from the '84 to the '69 frame. the front saddle will replace the exisiting '69 with lil modding. you could mod the rear with the correct perches and it would bolt into the '69 as well..

if it is a two wheel drive, then forget it. You need a flat frame.
If it is a 4X4, then you can modify the mounts on the frame, shorten the wheel base, make a custom body lift, then instsall the body.

Ok, your wants are power steering & power discs & you have an 84 @ your disposal. Like 'my67chevytruck' suggested, it's an easy swap to transplant the entire front suspension & discs from the 84 to the 69 (it's a bolt-in deal). Much easier than swapping the bodies.
