Guys with 55-59 truck with IFS- in here please

I'm just wondering what my options are as far as getting IFS on my 57. I know about the MII and Camaro clip options, but are there any good frame swap options? I've read the S10 frame is too narrow, so how about a C10? I saw the guy's build on here that put his 55 on to a 77 frame, but I don't want to cut and lower the cab onto the frame- I'd rather just build new body mounts. The Camaro clip isn't something I'm real comfortable doing. So I'm basically wondering if there is anything feasible that costs less than the MII. Thanks guys. Oh yeah- I'm new on here and I'm just trying to do my homework!

If you have a torch, grinder, welder, and a TAPE MEASURE, then you can pull off a camaro clip pretty easily. I paid around $120 for the whole front clip out of a 76 that was in the junkyard. Just put a couple hundred more and you have a rebuilt front suspension.
Other then that i've heard of guys using volare front clips, and maybe the jaguar front members fit too, I know they work good for the Fo** pick ups

There was a guy in my home town who used to swap mid '70's Monte Carlo frames! It gave it a great stance and a nice ride.

Hows the track width work out on those? I guess that drops it pretty low?
What about lug patterns?
