Dana 44 NP 205/th350 Suburban Frame

Nice straight frame good tranny and transfer case front axle w/discs all from 1972 Chevy Suburban $300 or will separate. I am in Delaware. Best if these items are picked up locally. Just updating.... my original plan for these parts was 4x4 conversion for my swb 67...but I decided to keep it 2wd. I will try to get some pix up soon. The the frame has all the brackets tranny mounts, everything.

Thumbs up Re: Dana 44 NP 205/th350 Suburban Frame

that is a real bargain, ttt for a screamin' deal. if i decide to make my latest arrival- 72 sub 2wd-into a 4wd i'll be paying more than that for a bare frame, too bad you are on the opposite coast.

Re: Dana 44 NP 205/th350 Suburban Frame

Here we are again. 1972 Suburban Frame good useable condition.
th350/np205 with factory shifter
Dana 44 with discs
Driveshafts front and rear
Engine, tranny, tcase brackets
$300

Just a thought, if this does not sell soon I am considering shortening the frame to make it a shortbed. Would that interest anyone? Frame Price would go up of course.

Re: Dana 44 NP 205/th350 Suburban Frame

I have the Suburban frame sitting next to my short bed frame and I believe if I cut the frame in the center weld it back together then cut down the rear frame horns it would be correct. I will of course research this more but it seems very similiar to converting a LWB to SWB..... Am I missing or overlooking something???
Is there something else different about a Suburban frame?

Re: Dana 44 NP 205/th350 Suburban Frame

Awhile back, there was a post asking the same question. Hart Rod answered and at that time had both frames in his shop sitting side by side and confirmed that they were the same. Of course you would also have to transfer your body mounts. I also have closly studied the diagrams in the assembly manual and would agree. Great deal on this frame!!
