Re: Look what I found on the side of the road!!!!!

OK, it's my truck.

yesterday the cooling lines for the transmission were leaking (cracked flare) and i replaced them.

went to start the truck this morning and the battery was dead, charged it and noticed that the tire was low. I aired up the tire and took off. I got about 20 miles down the road and pulled up at a stop sign and noticed that there was a lot of smoke coming from under the truck. I got out and looked at it and I found that there was a lot of fluid coming from around the front of the transmission (700r4 with 3000 miles on it!!!!!) and I checked the transmission and it was out of fluid!!!!! we decided to trailer it back, but the truck spun the back tire causing the right ramp to shoot backwards and slamming my door into the side rail!!!

WHAT A DAY!!!!

That sucks!

I do agree, looks like you need a wider trailer or a smaller truck.

Re: Look what I found on the side of the road!!!!!

definetly a bad day, the great thing it gives you one more thing to do over....

I went thru similar problems with a leaky case last year in and out of the truck three times in one day..

As long as the trans will be apart, have them chuck in a shift kit. You'll be glad you did!
