I want to put a blow-through box in my truck. So I can have a harder bass and more space inside the cab. What is used for the tube or tunnel from the bed box to the cab?

Also I have a tool box in the back of my truck and its very handy. I always carry tools now. I broke down a few times and didnt have tools (theres nothing worse, well you know). So I wouldnt want to eliminate a storage space as good as that. So I though well, how about cut a hole in the bed floor, above the spare tire, and have a hinged lid there (using the bed material I cut) and have a tool box between the frame like Jeff's fuel cell is. It wouldnt be a large tool box, but would allow me to carry some tool boxes and some fluid. It would also shift some weight towards the back. Anyone ever seen that done (I love pictures)?

Anyway let me know what you guys think. If I put a blow through box in my truck, it would also require me to put on a bed cover.

I thought it was a cool idea and wanted to see what you guys thought.

sounds allright to me, but what about weatherproofing the new storage area? could be difficult.

Eddie, that sounds like a really good idea! The only problem I see is the accessibility of the box. Unless the tailgate was off, you'd have a pretty good reach to get to your tools. I guess it depends on how deep the box was.

Anyway, I think it would be cool. Hope you get some response so we can see what it would look like!

First, that's a great idea!

As far as the material, my ex and I did this on his bagged toy (rice....what is it with me and ricer guys?

)...anyways, we used the rubber booting material that goes between the canopy window and the cab window. You can go to any canopy retailer or installer and they should be able to sell you a few feet. When installed right, NO moisture will get in and the material flexes with the movement of the vehicle so no worry about it cracking and such.

sounds really cool. that is definately a good way to get more bass in the cab. if the toolbox in the bed doesn't work out, you could make your toolbox sort of two story...the bottom part for your subs and the top for your tools, seperated by a divider of course. i dont know if the dimensions of your sub boxes would allow for that though. just a thought.

Toolbox below the floor !!! I like it... There are no limits to the possibilities. It could be any size you want. I sure could hide a lot of stuff that sits in the Cab and bed. If it was big enough it would be kinda like having a Basement in your truck

I think the idea is GREAT I would love to see pics of this project.
