Re: Carrier Bearing

I think I had new u-joints installed, the driveshaft balanced, and a new carrier bearing install for like $100....I took the carrier to the DS shop that I think I ordered from Orange County.....(it's been like 3 years since I did this!!!)

Re: Carrier Bearing

It's really pretty easy. Get the bearing from any repuetible auto parts store. (I used a Timken bearing) Take you driveshaft out with the old one and take it into the two pieces. Then you have to gently remove the old bearing collar without gouging the driveshaft. then slide the new one on, and reassemble. Really pretty easy. If you trust yourself you can use a torch to heat up the collar and it will come loose easier, but be real careful. A little bit of on your back work and a little patience will save a good chunk of change. Let us know
