cab painted!
I finally got the cab painted. This is a picture of where the fuel filler was. Hopefully it will make it's way to the frame this weekend...

Greg, Got you're email, that cab really looks good. Lets see some pictures after you get it on the frame.

side...
I will have it back on the frame this weekend...going to see Steve in Texas for some Rallyes and a van tilt. The cab was in great shape after blasting...thanks Gary. I'll post pics after it's on the frame. The first pic was dark...it is the standard white for our trucks. Greg

I also intend to paint my truck white, I will be looking forward to further posts from you, that looks great! Did you do the floor with Duplicolor liner as well as underneath the cab?

Yep...I'll probably spring for the professional stuff for the bed, but the duplicolor makes a pretty good undercoating and sealer.

White is a forgiving color, if you are a novice painter (like I am). You can get away with some mistakes that a darker color wouldn't let you get away with.

minibike, I noticed you have an AC dash but a regular firewall. What are your plans? Your cab looks great, I am trying to weld up my gas filler hole now and it sucks!!

Yes, it's a long story, but I'll condense it. TXGary had the cab converted to an AC cab. I am putting an aftermarket AC in that doesn't need the factory AC firewall, but uses the vent locations. I welded back in the non-ac opening in the firewall, and then found out that the unit comes with a big plate that covers all that anyway! The gas filler wasn't as big of a deal as I thought it would be. Just beat a peice of sheetmetal into a slightly concave section, and then dut it to fit the whole. I welded mine up with the mig gun, no problem.

Yeah, I'm trying the MIG thing as well. Difference is you are probably good at welding! LOL
I was curious about the firewall because I am going to cut out my non ac front and weld in the ac one.......that is if I can learn to use this #$@@@ welder!!!

The difference between a good welder and a bad welder is a grinder! Be sure and stitch weld the sheet metal, so it doesn't get too hot in any one spot. I didn't weld more than 1/2" at a time.
