Thought id show you guys my 85 also

It is a 1985 with a 502/th400 and 4.11 gears. It went throw a 400 already after 2500 miles ripped the bell off the thing so pulled it out an put a j.w. ultra bell on it with a b&m pan , shift kit and 2400 stall. Than i bought a 4 inch harwood bolt on hood and new tires all the way around the thing. They are mickey thompson sportsman s/r's 26x8-15 front and 29x15-15s rear

What do you think it would run 1/4 mile time

502 ci 450hp-550tq
th400 with 2400 stall
4.11 rears with posi

um, just a guess. maybe 12.5 or 13. depending on if you had any traction off the line. those are street tires

You need some e/t streets or nitto 555's or something for when you want to go fast. My poorly tuned stock 350 in my last truck with 3.08 gears would spin the crap out of ONE of them. They were 26x12 Mickey Thompson s/r's like you have. So I imagine with a 502, a nice converter and 4.11's it will demolish them, even though they are wider and you have a limited slip. Those do look good though. You just might need some stickies to get it going anywhere

I would agree with the 12.5-13 second guesses. for another thing, with the leaves alone, you will have axle wrap issues which will also plague your times. get some slappers along with the stickies and hope it hooks like hell!
