GMC 68 Factory Coils Or Leaf Spgs Which?

I'm looking at a 68 GMC LWB 1/2 2 wheel drive from some pics that have been sent. Can't tell exactly but it looks like it may have leaf springs on the back. Was this maybe an option on this truck? All I've ever seen on the Chevys has been coils on the 1/2 tons.

Generally the gmc trucks had leafs and the chevies had coils. However, they could be had either way...

that is correct, but they were both rated the same, so don't let anyone feed you a "rare heavy half" line.

Well I did a search here and found out what there was to lowering a leaf spring truck. I think I'll pass on this 1/2 ton. I like the ride on my 68 w/coils.

That's what I did on my 69' Stepside. Swapped leafs for trailing arms, then went with 6 inch lowering springs from GMC Pauls. Eventually, I'm gonna bag it.
