Cool local guys suburban

well i have a bunch of pics of this but i havent' gotten the film developed, but i just found some other ones of it online.

this is a local guys suburban here in college station, tx. he does everything himself and i thin he is a gym teacher in a local middle school. i wish my old gym teachers did this in their spare time.

since the first two pics he has suicided the passenger doors

i've seen him rail before and you can't barley look without being blinded, he must have blocks.

its obvioulsy bagged, but he also body dropped it. the wheel are 20 inch AR torque thrusts.

i think its a pretty tight truck.

Nice work, but what was he thinking with that Salmon color! Dare to be different I guess. Of course, I only aspire to have a vehicle that nice.

That first and second photos look like they have been photoshopped...

It is a very nice suburban, though. Is it painted or is that just primer?

Edit: It is primer .

Hey, I've seen that sub at the last two Texas Heat Wave shows. Looked like he had long way to go too. The inside needs some serious work. He also using tubular a-arms on the front if I remember correctly.

Not trying to be negative or anything...that is a kick ass 'Burb and I really like it...but if I am going to be spending my hard earned money and all my free time to get my vehicle lookin that good I will be damned if i am going to lay frame while i am driving and destroy everything i have done (not to mention wear out parts). My question is...what is the purpose of doing that and how can it be fun? To each his own and everyone has their own opinion...but I just don't get it.

actualy jeff he has custom made titanium rods that bolt on to the bottum of the frame. this is what is shooting the sparks. when they start to wear down you just replace them. the frame never touches the ground. the titanium is what makes the sparks so bright

i do agree with you though, i would be afraid to do it in my truck. with my luck the whole truck would catch on fire and burn to the ground

Im thinking the same thing but i dont think it's titanium that stuff is too expensive it may be magnizium it is very brite as well but either way once you have it burning like that what keeps it from burning thru oh lets say rubber fuel lines or brake lines what's the point!! i know it looks really impressive and all but to abuse your truck like that is insane and even tho the frame isn't being drug there is an awefull lot of heat transfered into the frame and that = damage maybe not visual and not right away but at some point down the line that truck's frame will have some serious issues may be in the form of not holding an alignment or becoming brittle and cracking due to the lack of it's ability to flex properly.

Anyway's to each his own disaster!

titanium blocks are fairly common to use for this. they are expensive but they last. magnesium is fairly soft in comparison and would ware down fairly quickly. you don't typically drag long enough to transfer that much heat. mabey a few seconds. i don't think it would transfer enough heat in a few seconds to change the temper of the frame steel, but then agian, i'm not a scientist.

Most everyone uses Titanium or steel. With that bright a spark it's most definetely Titanium.
