still fretting over gas tank

Okay I'm about zeroed in on the venting process but during my reading I've read a couple of times of guys venting from the port on the sending unit? I hooked my fuel line to that port? Did I hook the fuel line to the wrong port or does it matter?

Re: still fretting over gas tank

Appapently I missed something somewhere, but if you're talking about a '60-'66 truck gas tank, I've only seen them with one port on the sending unit and that is for the fuel feed line.
