Accuair v. Big Red
Like it says, pro's, cons, gripes, complaints, etc. Looking at both. I want manual control of the switches if this has any affect on the outcome. Just need something to make the dropmember work

Re: Accuair v. Big Red
Keep an eye on Rockcrlns Tahoe project.
He's installing the Accuair on it now. I know he's installed ART's level pro system before,... so he should be a good source for an objective opinion. I think the Accuair systems are about to take the lead in the air management wars,...

Re: Accuair v. Big Red
If you're looking for a manifold valve assembly, and don't care about the electronics portion of it.... they are both a good choice. I have used the ART valves for a long time, and had good success. I will be running an Accuair on my personal build coming up.
I think the best decision you have made is to go with a manifold assembly to begin with!

Re: Accuair v. Big Red
I have the Accuair system, about to begin the install. dont have any experience with ART.
From reading the documentation that came with the Accuair system it seems like there is not a whole lot more you can ask for from a air management system. |

Re: Accuair v. Big Red
The Big Red system has been the standard of the industry for quite some time. I doubt that anyone will have too much to complain about it. I have been running one on my 77 for several years with no concerns.
The Accuair system is the latest and greatest out there. It certainly looks pretty and appears to be well manufactured. It's fairly new, but I don't think I have heard a complaint yet. I would consider what your needs are and make decision on what fits you best.

Now I have also used other valves with out problems in the past and I have installed countless systems for customers also with out problems. But then I used to run leafs, heated and dropped coils as well and now I run the AccuAir system. Forward progress! Kevin LFD Inc. Last edited by Rokcrln; 08-12-2009 at 10:58 PM. |

Re: Accuair v. Big Red
My reason for choosing an Accuair set-up would be that it is "active" while you drive. Constantly monitoring ride height, making corrections, etc.
ART's systems "sleep" once you have achieved ride height. Both systems are well engineered, thought out, and packaged, but the Accuair e-LEVEL management system is the next step.
