Hello from Michigan

I have been enjoying the site for quite awhile. It has been a great source for info and all around truck enthusiasts. I just wanted to say hello and share a few project photos. I've always had an interest in the 70's-early 80's special edition models. I have a '79 GMC Street Coupe step side and also a '77 Blazer Chalet, for the family project. These are in need of much work, but I have most parts for the restoration. However, financially I'm not ready, so I'm just going to drive and enjoy for now. The '79 has original paint & motor, with rust in usual areas (for Michigan that is). The only thing I haven't acquired is the stock grill and I will have to have the decals measured and reproduced. The Chalet has low mileage. The camper is in good shape, but the body is rough. I haven't owned the Chalet long, but will clean it up and use it for family camping trips. Glad to be aboard!
