Re: 700r4 trans tunnel and crossmember?
Pretty straightforward-I had to move the crossmember back and drill new holes, and shorten the driveshaft 3 inches. Make sure the shaft is lined up with a dial indicator before welding. Mine was a factory auto, so I bought a Lokar kit which is adjustable enough to set the shifter correctly. The pointer is only correct at Park and L, but I think I've seen a bezel that should work, designed for the 67-72s. I believe the columns are the same diameter, so at worst, I'll have to drill new mounting holes for it.

BTW, you have to have the correct yoke. I can't remember what I used, but it's different from the Powerglide. I think a 400(?).

Re: 700r4 trans tunnel and crossmember?
Yoke is same as a TH350. I bolted mine in with a CCP trans crossmember. I started with a roller and had no motor or tranny to start with.

Re: 700r4 trans tunnel and crossmember?
Why would the E-brake be affected by the transmission that's in the truck???

Re: 700r4 trans tunnel and crossmember?
I'm not certain, but I think there is a lever or cable junction that hooks on the trans X-member and is affected by moving the X-member. Read it on a thread awhile back...you know how that goes.........
