Re: rallyes

they were pretty much all the same, painted silver, no clear, and trim rings and center caps, if i am correct, i beleive some didnt have trim rings, but that may just be the 88-98 models

Re: rallyes

There are three different sizes.
15x6.5 (van ralleys)
15x7
15x8
all in the 5-lug 2wd truck and van bolt pattern.

There is also a 6-lug 4x4 wheel that alot of people use on the pre-'71 2wd trucks.
They come in 15x8 (and the super rare 15x7's)

Re: rallyes

The original rallye wheel was argent silver. It was a single stage paint/clear mixed. Low luster. They came on trucks, vans and suburbans in the sizes that lolife99 posted above. The spinners were usually dealer or customer add ons.

Re: rallyes

I use a Duplicolor FM149 (or the corresponding Truck number, which escapes me) which are a pretty good match.

I used it on both the wheels and the grille.

If you go here you can see a photo of the guy spraying the wheels in the assembly plant:

Re: rallyes

Keith Seymore,... Thanks for that paint part number!
That's almost a thread by itself.
"What color do you use to paint your ralleys?"

That color looks very good. I will be buying some today.

Re: rallyes

I have a side question about rally wheels.

Did they (factory or aftermarket) ever make an 8 lug rally wheel? I'd like to get a set for my truck if anyone ever made a set.

Re: rallyes

Not like these.

The '88-'98 trucks had a silver steel wheel with a center cap and a trim ring. But no slots around the perimeter.

I believe that's the same color I used. I got it from Autozone. I applied some clear too (plastikote NO. 229 engine enamal clear) Low shine like factory.
