what trannys came in a 96 s10 with the big six cylinder...are they the same as the five speeds in the 1/2 ton trucks?

a 96 s10 with the 4.3 comes with a 4l60e automatic(electronic 700r4) and im not quite positive what the 5 speed is, maybe a venture something?
