lowering my truck

ok well i got my 86 c10 swb, i already have 2.5" drop spindles ready to install and im gonna cut 1/2 or 1 coil.... what should i do in the back flip kit? wiht he flip kit would i absolutely have to do the c notch or just go with out ? or do a shackle hanger kit?

Do the flip kit.
Cheaper and doesn't require a c-notch.
Look around the board at what other people have done.

flip it cut the bump stop pad from the frame. cut one coil and remove the bump stop from ther as well..

Welcome to the boards. I agree with the others if you are wanting to go 5-6" lower then that is the best and cheapest way to get there.

You'll be fine without a c-notch.
I've had a couple trucks with a flip kits and no notch. ('86 and '87,... both shortbeds)
Only a super heavy load in the bed will get the frame close to the rear axle.

i ordered a western chassis cnotch/flipkit and drop shackles for the back and ordered ground force drop spindles for the front and ill prolly cut a coil
