what is the torque specification for the pinion nut on a dana 44 out of a 74 blazer?

Its around 200 ft lb.
But the inch lb to rotate the the pinion is what's important.

what is the inch lb to rotate the pinion?

If your not setting up the ring and pinion, and just re tightening the pinion nut, then the correct torque is 180-200 ft lb. I always put thread locker on the threads.
What happened, did it come loose on ya. Its happened to me.
