I noticed this truck in the parking lot at work today

I was gonna stop the guy before he went into the store to talk to him about his truck but he was on the phone the whole time. Anyway, I went to take a closer look after the owner went into the store and noticed this truck has many, many, mods done to it. All suttle but all there. I believe it sit on an earlier frame, and if you look close you can see the driverside dash guage panal is 80's era but rest of dash is correct. There's much more but I only had time enough to snap just a few pics as I was only on break. I've seen this truck around town so I'm sure I'll run into the guy again sometime.

The dash is interesting. It would be cool to get him on here with a build thread.

Does anyone know where to get a fuel filler door like that? I have been wanting to get rid of the one in my bed.

It looks like a fuel filler door for a full size van.

I'm just guessing though.

I'd be interested to know what tool box that is in his bed.

eeek....i can't say that i like the dash, rear bumper, or the lights atop the cab, but as long as the guy driving it likes it then it's . the toolbox isn't a weatherguard, looks like a delta? i've got a weatherguard on mine too, no mods factory made.

I can see a trailer behind it and the driver with a mullet. Yes, the walmart gave it away.

I don't know if it's a work truck. But the guy certainly had the right idea with a cooler in the back and a couple of fishin poles.

I thought it looked good on there too. First thing to catch my eye as it drove past me in the lot.

All though everything you have mentioned does kinda stick out there and may be a little over kill. I can still dig the whole truck. At least it's not one of those that's hard to look at while thinking (OMG! What the hell happened)LOL!

Hahahaha! Well, He didn't have a mullet. But there did seem to be a lot of RV's in the parking lot that day. LOL! The guy looked like he was maybe 21 or 22.

I'm not sure how the dash was made to fit. I would like to find out just because. But I don't think I'd do it to my own truck. I like the look of my 66 dash. Just wish I had my custom gauges in it now.

originalJD - if you happen to see the truck again, try to get the make and model number of that tool box.
