Lowered truck tire size question

currently running 255/70/15s on a gm 15x8 rally wheel on my 71 on the front.it has a 2-4 drop now.thinking bout 2.5 drop spindles on front with a block in the back.anybody run that size tire with that drop on the front of their truck.thanks.

That's a 29" tire & would be a bit too much on a 4.5" drop. They might clear @ a stand-still.... it's those pesky bumps & dips in the road that will have them buzzing the top of those inner fender-wells. Those 255-70's work well on 8" wheels out back though. I personally like a 215-70-15 up front on a 6.5-7" wheel. That's ~27" tall & still looks proportionate vs. the 255-70 on the rear.

If 8's are a 'must have' all around, 255-60's on the front & 275-60's on the rear look very nice & are a good fit on 8" wheels.
