frame questions
Can I put a k20 suspension(axles) an body on a k30 frame? Besides frame height an suspension what else would be different, I can get one from a local dismantler for $300 an wonder if it's worth it or not? I just had to weld in several replacement sections of my frame near the front spring perches for the rear leaf springs, bodyshop guys at work say if I get another 2 years out of my frame due to the repairs I will be lucky, I can post pics if it will help

Re: frame questions
Front axle will bolt in. The rear will need new perches. $300 is kinda steep for a frame inless it's dang near mint. The frames between the two is minor, the major being the 1 ton having taller frame rails. But take the spring mounts off you 3/4 frame and put them on the 1 ton frame, then everything will bolt up.
Kinda doing that to a crew cab I picked up. 2wd that I'm converting to 4wd. Got a set of spring hangers off a 1/2-3/4 for the rear, that way a 3/4 14ff will bolt up. Got DIY4X front spring hangers already on....

Re: frame questions
I would go look at both of them and inspect them real good for rot and check for cracks especially around the power steering box. As for the sand blasting I would have to say it is well worth the money to have a business do it, after doing it myself once that is what i will do next time. That's just my 2 cents.
