What's the guys number? I'll go check it out. Maybe he'll take $1000. It's hard to say. What kinda condition is the metal in? If it runs good see if he'll take less. If not, I would still buy it. That's just me I can't pass up a truck.

There is a thread created by Wongeroo that details on what to look for when buying a 60-66. Maybe you would like to read this first. K these trucks new sold for around $2500.00 new at the time for a base model. Take some pictures of the truck and show it to the members so they can help you make a better decision.

The metal isnt that bad, a couple dents and minimal rust. I will try to get a picture up soon. But I've been thinking about it and I think im going to take it.

The person im buying it from was going to sell it to someone in L.A. for $2500. But, she is a family friend and knew I wanted a truck and said I can have it for $1500. She also said some one was willing to pay her $1000 just for the engine but she wanted the entire thing gone. I will try to post a pic soon.

First of all - WELCOME to the forum. Second, it's really hard to go wrong for that price, unless rust has really destroyed the frame and a bunch of running gear is broken or missing. If you get some photos - get down under the rig and look around for major disintegration or damage.

If you want it - buy it, or you may be kicking your own butt later on - if you miss it.

You've come to the right place for build advice - all it takes is cash and courage.

Mac.
