69-72 rear wheel studs

I am converting my 69 C20 4x4 with the Eaton rear end to rear disk brakes and I need to drill out the hubs to swap the 1/2'' studs to the 9/16 studs.

The question I have is, what size drill bit do I use so the studs will fit properly in the hub? Has anyone done this before? Any tips will help.

Thanks, Rob

Common sense would tell me that you need to make the hole 1/16" larger than it was before. Figure out how big the hole currently is, and drill it out another 16th of an inch. That being said, common sense for me doesn't come easily, so don't take my word for it!!
