Firewall holes, what are they for?
I have seen some posts with pictures of a firewall and detailed info of what each hole is for. Does anyone have this pic or know who might have it?
Thanks! |

Re: Firewall holes, what are they for?
Thats one of them, thanks.
I do have a question though. On my cabs, there is another hole under the speedo hole and my fuseblock cut-out is positioned a little to the right, closer to where the e-brake cable would come through. I have a 67 cab and a 68 cab. What would the hole under the speedo hole be, and will I have any trouble when I put a 69-72 e-brake set-up in? Has anyone done this? Will I have to move the fuseblock??? Last edited by danw210; 08-20-2009 at 02:14 AM. |

Re: Firewall holes, what are they for?
I'm thinking that the second hole {under the speedo hole) might be for an e-brake cable for a 67-68.....anyone?????

Re: Firewall holes, what are they for?
I don't know - mine has the extra hole too - I'm running my amp hot lead through it though, so I'm kinda glad it's there.

Re: Firewall holes, what are they for?
Not sure if this pic helps but this is my '68 right after I removed the front clip.
Speedo cable in the lower hole, plug in the upper. Fuse block in the big square hole. Round hole above the square one is the brake warning light. Rectangle hole below steering column is the e-brake cable. Hope it helps.

Re: Firewall holes, what are they for?
That is the same set up on my 68. Fused wire coming out of the top hole plug (haven't traced it down yet) and Speedo cable in the bottom hole.

Re: Firewall holes, what are they for?
It's been a few years since i disassembled mine, but i'm sure that the lower is the speedo cable and the upper is the manual choke cable. Thats how mine was arranged on my '68. Hope this helps !

Re: Firewall holes, what are they for?
I looked at mine again. I was wrong. I only have a plug in the top hole and speedo cable in the bottom.
