pinion angle help needed
I am changing my 68 GMC from leaf rear to coil rear. It has stock trailing arms and 4 inch lowering coils. I need to know where to set the pinion angle before I weld the axle saddles to the axle tube. This is being done with the truck totally disassembled (body off frame no engine or tranny).

Re: pinion angle help needed
It might be hard to determine without the motor and trans in. You need to know what angle your tranny output shaft is at.

Re: pinion angle help needed
Yeap your pinion angles are dependant on one another (trans yoke and rear end yoke) here is a good resource for drivelines and installation http://www2.dana.com/pdf/J3311-1-HVTSS.PDF
