HVAC swap
I was wondering if i can swap mine for something newer with the 3 round knobs.Anyone done this or though about it?

The thing that would be tough is getting the A/C system out of the donor vehicle. It would take a lot of time and I don't think you would want to be doing it in a junkyard, as you might not finish in one day. You would really need to have the donor vehicle in a place you could work on it. If you can find a donor vehicle priced at it's scrap metal value with an intact A/C system, it might be cost effective.
Take a look at aftermarket systems like Vintage Air. They make direct fit systems for our trucks that are mostly a bolt in affair and come with instructions.

I don't want the system just the heat and ac controls from something newer with the knobs.Sorry if i wasn't clear in my first post was a long night.

The AC controls in our trucks are mostly cable operated, save for the blower switch. The newer 3 knob style is all electronic and wouldn't be compatible.
